Allen was a kind, wonderful Christian man. He was so good to my two older children when their younger sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was being treated at St Jude Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mr. Herbst was my all time favorite teacher/music teacher when I attended Trinity Lutheran in Springfield IL. Memories flood my mind of days with him in the classroom, choir and band. He was such a wonderful human being and was so kind, funny and his patience with us was truly love, especially in our music training. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family with the loss of your parents in such a short timeframe. May God ease your hearts in the days to come.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Mother and Fathers passing and with both being so close together. The pain and stress must be overwhelming. I will certainly keep all of you in my prayers. Your Father made a huge impact on my life and I will never forget him. Not to diminish anyone else who played the organ at Trinity, but when he played it gave me joy that has never been repeated.
